WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Based in our LA office, the ideal candidate will have experience in both account management as well as prospecting new clients. Having a background in Music and knowledge of the US Television Production Market is a plus! You will be part of the Audio Network family, but specifically part of our close-knit Sales & Creative teams. Currently working remote and moving to hybrid in our LA office, you’ll spend your time building and maintaining a sales pipeline with West Coast TV clients, analyzing user data (such as Sisense) to inform your decisions/recommendations and taking part in industry events.
THE ROLE
Your day to day will consist of maintaining and managing relationships with current roster of TV & film clients, prospecting and developing new client relationships located in the west coast US in the TV & film vertical, presenting/pitching our music to clients, setting up new music licenses, as well as analyzing user data to drive business with existing clients. You will also be spending time researching the market and will proactively reach out and engage prospective clients. The role also includes administrative duties involved in account managing clients and dealing with music licenses.
As a TV Licensing Manager, you’ll participate and contribute in weekly and monthly team meetings, providing insight and guidance into how working hours are spent. You’ll develop a deep understanding of Broadcasters and TV Production Companies and their community if you don’t have one already. Understanding how music helps to tell stories and is synced in TV programming is crucial. A creative problem solver, you’ll also be able to grasp data, using it to help guide how you work. You will be working with some of the highest value TV content there is and will manage existing relationships as well as building new relationships with producers and editors from Broadcasters and production companies, ensuring they know where to go when they want good service, and good music.
You’ll get to know the catalogue and license language so that you’re able to pitch the right tracks with the correct rights every time. You’ll feedback to our music team letting them know any gaps in the catalogue – and any hot spots too! If you spot an opportunity whether that be in terms of licensing or a marketing idea, you’ll have the initiative to jump on it and give it wings.
SPECIAL SKILLS
We’re after someone special; someone with spark, initiative and creative flare. Someone with ideas to challenge themselves and the team to think – outside and around the box. Maybe you’ll be a whiz at pitching or have spent years working in production or television and understand how the shoe fits from a clients’ perspective.
