What is a Manager, National Sales @ SpotHero?

In this role, you will work with the Sr. Director, National Sales on strategies to develop new industry relationships, acquire new accounts, sell new products and services, and identify new opportunities across geographies. This is a people management position, leading a team of driven and impactful National Account Executives!


What you will do:

  • Develop and maintain strategic client and industry relationships at a National level.
  • Discover, test, and grow business ventures that bring value to SpotHero and our partners.
  • Analyze data to guide strategy and develop initiatives across designated growth markets
  • Utilize Salesforce for all tracking and reporting, ensuring all sales team actions are appropriately tracked and recorded.
  • Manage a team of National Account Executives
    • Drive results by establishing motivational goals and providing constructive feedback to team members.
    • Ensure that sales quotas/goals are achieved on assigned accounts and KPI targets. Track sales team metrics and report data to leadership on a regular basis.
    • Assist team in navigating client relationships, external operations, and project management.
    • Develop training plans for continuous development of the team's sales skills and product knowledge.
    • Eliminate roadblocks for the team, helping them to navigate clients, external operations, and project management.
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Director, National Sales to build and grow a top performing team, including the hiring/firing, training, performance management, and professional development of each team member under your direct supervision.
  • Attend industry related conferences and tradeshows, if applicable.
    • Represent SpotHero and build brand awareness.
    • Identify and research prospective leads to approach during the event.
    • Build and strengthen relationships with clients through attending social events.
  • Secure and safeguard data to preserve its integrity, reliability, and availability and ensure appropriate access levels are maintained.

  • Selling: Established track record of success in B2B enterprise selling at C-Level across the parking industry; easily navigates multiple stakeholders and high-level conversations; proven ability to share accumulated knowledge with others across the org both formally (mentorship) & informally
  • Growth Mindset: Willing and able to be coached; solicits and acts on feedback and shares feedback with direct reports; continuously builds upon existing product and industry knowledge to maintain role as a thought leader across the company and industry
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Maintains & builds upon existing relationships across the organization; identifies and advocates for solutions that benefit all, often leading and establishing new initiatives; team and org advocate
  • Ownership & Accountability: Impeccable organizational skills, easily balancing multiple tasks and people at once; self-starter with strong bias towards action; maximizes effectiveness by focusing time in right places and helps others to do the same; holds team accountable by maintaining accurate data and operating within team & org frameworks
  • Client Focused: Ability to see "long term vision" and fully understand client needs (serve as internal client advocate); ability to understand client's goals and how our solutions can assist in achieving said goals; proactively provides industry insights and advocates for client's needs
  • Technically Proficient: Expert knowledge and comfortability in the B2B tech sales space & parking industry; experience successfully utilizing tools such as Salesforce, Looker, Gong, Showpad & more; ability to help implement and teach newly implemented tools across the sales org; leader in establishing a good data hygiene standard across National Sales; expert in all client-facing tech tools and ability to train others on them; advanced understanding of SpotHero's internal tech stack and the ability to train others on it

Tools: CRM (Salesforce preferred), BI Tool (Looker preferred), SpotHero Admin Backend, Excel, Sales Enablement platforms (Showpad, Highspot), Gong (Revenue Intelligence), Groove (Email Tracking)

Travel Requirement: travel to client sites and conferences (up to 10% of time) required.


What you bring:

  • 5+ years experience in sales, growing/building a new market/segment (Ideally, 2+ years as a people manager)
  • Demonstrated natural ability to lead others and foster a team environment
  • Proven consultative sales solution skills with a unique ability to understand client needs
  • Demonstrated sales development and training skills. Ability to effectively set motivating goals.

Bonus Points if you have:

  • B2b Tech space & Parking Industry experience
  • Experience successfully utilizing tools such as Salesforce, Looker, Gong, Showpad & more;
