Purpose of Role:
To lead the Long term S&OP Cycle built around a Demand Review, Supply Review, Supply Leadership Review and Executive Review for NAW Whiskey in support of the 10 Year Business Aspirations. In addition, the individual will look to develop the Strategic Long-Term Planning Analyst whose primary focus will on the maturation, distillation and blend reporting tied to our long-term plans of aged liquid. Specifically ensuring the aged liquid concerns of Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Supply are met to deliver Diageo’s performance ambition.
Decision Making:
This role is responsible for leading the Long-Range Mature Liquid S&OP providing an overall health of supply in comparison to demand aspirations. In addition, the person defines the majority of the Annual Targets for filling and dumping of liquid for Whisky while monitoring monthly performance vs. those targets.
Complexity of Role:
Planning and overall supply responsibility for Mature Liquid that is laid down to support future needs & to mange existing stocks to support current aspirations & bottling within the NA Supply network at both internal and 3rd party manufacturers. Key to the role is to strengthen and sustain continuous communication and relationships between the Long-Range Mature planning team and other key partners regarding risks and opportunities to the overall supply of mature liquid in North America. The role interacts with multiple partners across various functions including Supply Planning, Logistics, Tech Ops, Procurement and Marketing. Critical to this is understanding of key drivers for each partner group, and to drive consensus across groups when needed.
Key Outputs:

Drive proactive engagement and transparency within the cross functional NAM Whiskey teams. Support ongoing comprehensive reviews of the state of the business as it relates to both maturing categories, identifying/raising issues, driving decisions & resolutions as necessary with senior partners.

Maintain/model current maturing stock requirements and long range planning to support Diageo NA Whiskey aspirations. This includes proactive scenario planning to take advantage of growth opportunities as well as mitigate risk.

Develop Maturing AOP plans for Diageo and 3rd Party suppliers whiskey category. Plan to encompass all distillation & maturation activities for the fiscal year.

Provide significant and proactive support of innovation projects, actively shaping liquid supply plans for programs in the innovation pipeline to ensure continuity of supply to base business and support of Innovation.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related business field.-
5+ years experience in Aged Liquid environment and/or Supply Chain Planning
