The Mid Market Sales Manager role is one with high visibility, as this motion is a core piece of our business. You will be a critical leader for Bonterra, with a primary role of leading a sales team of 5 - 8 Account Executives (inside sales). You will be responsible for coaching and enabling your team, as you drive them towards broader company revenue goals. The Sales Manager will work closely with other departments in our GTM org (marketing, sales enablement, solutions, onboarding/implementation, etc.) and will report directly to the Sr. Director of Sales. This is an exciting role that requires a team player who enjoys coaching, developing, and motivating a team.
Responsibilities:
Lead, develop and motivate a team of Account Executives to hit monthly and quarterly revenue goals
Coach reps to develop selling behaviors & skills that align with our sales methodologies and empower reps to succeed
Cultivate an open communication culture, focused on winning, accountability, and having fun
Track & report on progress, and manage AE’s against various KPIs, sales metrics, & prospecting goals
Lead the team in delivering outstanding execution across pipeline management, account planning, prospecting, and forecasting
Assist reps in RFP processes, partner conversations, & negotiations with high priority prospects, to help close five and six-figure deals
Work with other sales managers to create and implement sales training, sales contests, sales cadences, and various strategies needed to ensure consistency and effectiveness across our motion
Participate in the recruitment, selection process, and training/onboarding of new AEs
Participate in strategy sessions that are tied to sales growth & liaise with other departments as needed to ensure brand consistency and increase sales
Who You Are:
You are experienced! You have at least 1-2 years of software sales management experience (preferably SaaS) and a track record of revenue success – particularly in the mid-market space.
You know non-profits! You have previous experience selling to or working with nonprofits.
You are organized and bring a great sense of urgency & accountability to your team.
You have a strong interest in developing yourself & you have a passion for coaching sales talent.
You have excellent communication skills & strong relationship building skills.
You have a people-based mindset – leading with empathy & integrity.
You have a knowledge & interest in sales processes, sales training, sales methodologies, and sales operations.
You are a strategic thinker with an analytical mind and superior problem-solving skills.
You are a self-starter, with excellent time management skills.
You are collaborative – and understand how to drive action & results across internal teams.
You want to work in a fast-paced environment where you can do good!
Experience with Salesforce, SalesLoft, Gong, & SPIN/SPICED selling - a plus!
The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and evolving environment is a must!
Compensation
The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and in addition to benefits this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity.
US base salary range: $85,800 - $154,300
