Invesco Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is evolving its capabilities and is looking for new Team members. Enterprise Risk is a global Second Line of Defense function that engages with Invesco Business teams to facilitate delivery and oversight of the risk management framework and provide a consistent, aligned approach to risk management across the firm.

The Enterprise Risk Management team, comprised of dynamic, diverse, and highly collaborative members, drives value to Invesco through delivery of a comprehensive and standardized view of risk, integrated and underpinned by data and metrics. At the heart of the Invesco Enterprise Risk framework is the foundation for strong analytics, capable of responding to emerging threats and opportunities and adapting to evolving market trends and conditions.

Your Role
To manage and maintain the risk management policy and control standards for effective management of Enterprise Risk

You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Manage an efficient set of processes for the construction, periodic review, monitoring, continuous improvement and refresh of risk management policies.
  • Manage the development and articulation of Invesco's internal control standards, working with Invesco's Risk Advisory function and control owners, for critical risks within the Enterprise Risk Taxonomy.
  • Support risk management reporting objectives (metrics, indicators) for critical risks and controls linked to measures of client, firm and market harm.
  • Assist in the setting of objectives and managing targets of the Enterprise Risk transformation.
  • Support the execution of all aspects of risk management policy and framework as needed.
  • Ensure consistency in applied practices of risk management across Risk categories promoting consistent measurement of risk.
  • Attend and support Risk Management Committees and governance forums as necessary.
  • Manage and maintain guidance and standards to assist first line stakeholders in identifying appropriate risk metrics/key risk indicators to monitor adherence to established risk appetites and with the integration of the Enterprise Risk management practices into business model and operations including policy principles and control requirements.
  • Ensure that risk management programs meet or exceed regulatory requirements and expectations, including those related to capital adequacy.
  • Manage and maintain materials to assist first line stakeholders in identifying appropriate methods to prevent and monitor policy and/or control deviations.
  • Support workstreams ensuring target state risk management objectives are achieved and deliver critical aspects of the Enterprise Risk transformation.
  • Participate in the delivery of governance forum reports and materials.
  • Manage execution of policies and procedures ensuring alignment with global standards and conformity with applicable regulations, regulatory expectations and guidelines.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with Enterprise Risk leadership and regional staff on enterprise risk initiatives, activities and reporting.
  • Provides and/or coordinates training and awareness programs in support of effective enterprise risk management, culture and conduct.
  • Participates in and contributes to regional and global enterprise risk management initiatives to provide appropriate regional perspective and thought leadership to improve upon the enterprise risk program and outcomes globally.
  • Promotes and fosters a focus on innovation, continuous learning and improvement for all aspects of Enterprise Risk Management including appropriate leverage of technology and data analytics.
  • Embraces Invesco's Purpose and culture and helps further the firm's diversity and inclusiveness to drive better outcomes for our clients and employees.
  • Ensure all activities are in line with Invesco's Conduct principles.


The Experience You Bring:
  • 3-5 years' experience in enterprise/operational risk in financial services firm, preferably asset management
  • Financial Services industry, preferably in Asset Management, and proven success in leading and managing an Operational Risk program. Experience in working effectively with multiple levels in an organizational all the way to the Senior Management Committees and Boards.
  • Significant experience in financial services including in depth operational risk experience. In-depth understanding of operational risk frameworks, methodologies standards and related regulatory requirements. Solid understanding of internal control standards for appropriate design and effective execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Risk, Business or relevant discipline, advanced degrees and/or accreditations beneficial.
