Job Description
Digital Video Programming Operations oversees and drives digital video programming lifecycles to reinforce timelines, champion key milestones, and problem solve issues. The primary responsibilities of this team includes cross-platform programming planning, budgeting, and monitoring; execution of greenlight processes and related deliverables; program management of specific tentpoles and key cultural moments; and identification and resolution of high-impact business issues. This team collaborates with teams across Condé Nast and CNE to create consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness across the business.
The role is based in either New York or Los Angeles and will report into the Senior Manager, Programming Operations - Digital Video English with direct support for and partnership with the Digital Video English Programming & Production teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
Programming Operations
Support and execute day-to-day programming operations to deliver on the team’s strategy and plans aligned with the strategic vision of CNE’s Digital Video English business
Support the development of consistent project management and business operations standards and processes
Contribute to and maintain the centralized repository of workflows, tools, documentation and standards, looking to minimize complexities and optimize efficiency and engagement
Establish and maintain operational consistency and rigor across Digital Video Programming & Development for specific brands
Manage the lifecycle of digital video content from ideation to distribution
Partner with VP, Digital Video Programming & Development and their teams on the development, iteration, and execution of the cross-platform programming plans by brand
Track and monitor actualization of programming plans, identifying and resolving issues timely as they arise
Maintain video fulfillment trackers, update video metadata, and ensure all video information is current in the respective systems and tools
Manage and operationalize key internal creative/content workflows and related documentation (ie Show Packs, Production Greenlight Documents)
Manage programming timelines to ensure cuts are being reviewed, assets are being delivered, etc. and meet all necessary deadlines
Coordinate ideation sessions across Programming and Production teams to review creative of ongoing series and develop new shows
Identify opportunities to improve processes, establish best practices and guidance, and optimize workflows
Oversee video scheduling calendar, lead specific divisional scheduling meetings, and support collaborative video scheduling efforts across Programming Operations team
Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate closely with key CNE stakeholders within a video’s lifecycle (i.e. Production Management, Talent Group) to surface issues, delays, etc. to the Digital Video Programming & Development leaders
Work closely with CNE’s internal marketing and sales team to communicate upcoming programming slates and deliver previews
Update CNE’s internal tools and tracking systems to effectively communicate programming plan updates across CNE’s Digital Video business and Content Operations
Act as CNE’s communication bridge for Condé Nast’s Content Operations team, specifically within the video operations and talent group teams
Video Lifecycle Systems & Tools
Collaborate with key DVE team members and CN Global Technology partners on optimization of metadata capture and communication needs within critical video lifecycle system
Support efforts in driving engagement, understanding and fostering wider adoption of a centralized video lifecycle tracking system across DVE organization
Desired Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of progressive program or production management experience in an entertainment or media company
Experience working in a start-up team within a global, matrixed organization
Experience working with creative stakeholders, including gathering, providing, and implementing creative feedback effectively
Exceptional communication skills, both written and interpersonal
Expertise in synthesizing information from varied sources and developing documentation/presentations for all levels
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills in order to identify and implement effective solutions
Entrepreneurial, creative, curious, and holistic mindset; eagerness to learn
Ability to track details as well as manage multiple priorities and projects at once
Agile and flexible to shifting priorities and partner needs

The expected base salary range for this position is from $77,000 - $107,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also be eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation.
