The Natural Gas Scheduling Manager position function is to develop, oversee and coordinate the day-to-day management of production from the receipt points through a gathering system and processing facilities to the Interstate Pipelines across multiple assets and regions. The Natural Gas Scheduling Manager will supervise a team of schedulers working closely with operations, commercial, gas control, marketing, producers, and pipelines to maximize the daily volumes, and mitigate interruptions. While managing all imbalances associated with such. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage pipeline and producer imbalances, monitor and resolve volume discrepancies
  • Schedules and confirm nominations on internal and external platforms
  • Tracks and interprets pipeline curtailments and operational issues using pipeline electronic bulletin boards (EBBs) and coordination with outage coordinators.
  • Participates in the First of Month (FOM) setup process for an asset based on curtailed volumes (maintenance, facility limitations/outages, pipeline restrictions/maintenance) and new gas volumes put on the system by producers
  • Manage the close out process each month with accounting to ensure accuracy of scheduling process
  • Monitors forecast accuracy and adjusts as needed the daily nomination process
  • Communicates with internal and external parties to relay issues of impact and provide timely updates to build and maintain strong business relationships
  • This position requires a rotating on call schedule before/after regular office hours including holidays and weekends
  • Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

Qualifications


The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, or Economics is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the natural gas gathering or midstream scheduling processes
  • Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, written and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience working with technical and/or operations teams
  • Familiar with technical terms commonly used in natural gas gathering and processing
  • Computer skills/ability to work with various software packages
  • High competency in Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
  • Ability to gain the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity and authenticity
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across the spectrum of internal and external customers
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Occasional travel may be required
