Manager, Specialized Data Delivery & Operations

Location: Hoboken, NJ (hybrid)

About the Role:

As the Manager, Specialized Delivery Channels, you will be expected to be highly motivated, a self-starter and passionate about the technologies that serve digital assets - ensuring that these digital assets are delivered in timely manner. As the Manager, Specialized Delivery Channels, you will understand the changing nature of specialized channels’ platforms and each of their proprietary metadata and upload requirements. This Manager, Specialized Delivery Channels will collaborate with stakeholders to set priorities and manage delivery requirements and will emphasize and rely on use of new technology to achieve maximum potential. The candidate must have strong communication and presentation skills to work within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

How you will make an impact:

  • Management of distribution of Global Education digital assets to specialized channels to drive true value for enterprise customers

  • Manage day-to-day external relationships with vendors and commercial partners

  • Strong focus on enterprise customers to meet their needs, delivering latest version/specifications for digital assets and understanding their platforms upon which our products are delivered

  • Deliver related metadata with digital assets and generate ONIX for Books Standards title feeds as well as complete proprietary Excel templates

  • Overall focus on key metadata elements: Pricing; status/availability; rendition/format

  • Develop SQL and PowerBI team solutions for Channel Delivery, Managed Pricing, and other PDM initiatives

  • Understand the importance of data flow, data integrity, and business process efficiency, as well as the potential role technology could play in improving or enhance them

  • Drive documentation and process efficiencies across Product Data Management with a continued focus on simplicity, efficiency, business value, and completeness.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or a related field

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience

  • Experience with SQL and PowerBI

  • Proficient in Excel; formulas, functions, pivots tables, and charts

  • Ability to adjust to different technologies and learn them on the fly

  • Able to make high-quality, logical decisions

  • Ability to use technology to communicate efficiently and effectively (e-mail, telecommunications)

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Independent decision-making; proactive thinking

  • Work collaboratively across functions

This range represents Wiley’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies
