Team Overview

Annalect’s Data Strategy Consultants are critical to the success of Omnicom Media Group’s clients. They are highly visible across the OMG organization and work with cross-functional senior agency and client leadership as a valuable consulting layer, reporting into Annalect’s Executive team.


Qualifications


Required Skills And Qualifications

  • 15+ years’ experience, with a mix of agency, consulting and client side, data and advertising technology.
  • Understanding of our industry and how technology & data will benefit our clients.
  • Experience with how to move data efficiently and flawlessly for various marketing and advertising efforts.
  • Understanding of customer lifecycle, touch-point strategies and the data collection points associated with those journeys.
  • Strong advertising technology subject matter expertise, including the ability to associate data solutions with technological requirements.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in breaking down complex client needs and challenges into clear opportunities.
  • Demonstrated understanding of contemporary topics surrounding digital data, including first party data and CRM, third party data ecosystem, clean rooms, data management platforms, and cross-device tracking.
  • Identity Strategy and Execution – understanding the prospect to conversion journey and the systems associated with creating a consistent view of an individual as well as audiences
  • Ability to provide strategic direction using documentation and identifying timelines to achieve a future state.
  • Strong cross-functional team management skills and ability to cultivate relationships in a heavily matrixed environment
  • Proven track record of aggressively evolving the tech stack and connecting data sets based on business priorities
  • Demonstrate effective and tangible methods to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on growth and an aptitude for analysis
  • Deep understanding of marketing/ad technology data and relationship to marketing processes
  • Excellent communications skills, with experience communicating across groups with varying degrees of technical background
  • Articulate and comfortable speaking with diverse audiences, including clients, demonstrating the ability to translate technical subject matter into relatable business terminology, identify and adapt to the appropriate approach to fit your audience, and respond to unexpected questions on the spot.
  • Proactive and excellent follow through skills.

Responsibilities


Position Overview:

The Managing Director, Data Strategy Consulting will leverage multiple data sources, market intelligence, and personal insights and experience to inform, advise and guide senior client leaders and media agency partners across a wide range of critical initiatives. The Managing Director would be required to translate clients’ business goals, investment priorities, and marketing objectives into actionable data intelligence as a consulting layer within the organization, ultimately leading into effective roadmaps that support media and marketing communication planning, activation, and optimization. As such, the key responsibility of the role will be to interpret the client’s data and technology assets and map solutions that advance the client’s maturity and enable consumer-centric marketing decisioning. It will further require an ability to provide guidance and oversight of the implementation to achieve the appropriate solution, as it applies to subject matter expert allocation and deployment, data, and technology access. We are seeking a skilled and agile strategy consultant who wants to step into a high-profile, client-side role and assume immediate leadership responsibility for a wide range of engagements. This role requires inherent management of diverse projects to efficiently work with clients, agency leaders and Annalect leadership. The consulting layer will focus on closely working on cross-agency relationships and continually reviewing capabilities and maintain expert knowledge of these capabilities as they apply to our partners’ needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for the advancement of in-market data strategies with an understanding of tactics, organizational processes, and strategic solutions using existing data. Ability to understand how to grow the first-party data asset in the face of current technology based on use cases.
  • Provide industry-leading data, technology, and operations expertise and functional leadership to enhance audience activation and marketing performance for clients through data, technology, process, and efficient operations.
  • Solidifying and broadening client relationships through proactively meeting with business stakeholders and other Annalect or partner-agency teams to drive and socialize concepts of data-driven planning and measurement.
  • Lead conversations with strategic data partners, including ad servers, DSPs, measurement partners, and agency stakeholders, to determine the right data assets to power these solutions.
  • Develop plans for quantifying the incremental impact on our clients’ objectives that are driven by our solutions.
  • Provide global data strategy leadership and drive consistency across Marketing Science and Data Science resources on key client accounts
  • Oversee the implementation of data-driven recommendations/solutions, and the work quality for mutual success (Client & Agency).
  • Develop go-to-market material and educate clients and partners on data-activation maturity and how to scale their internal data assets that leverage MarTech/AdTech enablers.
  • Driving strategy with data and tech partners directly about data/cleanroom specifications and capabilities, specifically to enhance measurement and activation analytics
  • Facilitate on-going communication between marketing science, data science and activation

Compensation Range: $175,000 to $250,000. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, Benefits include: health/vision/dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependence Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation, sick, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.
