The position

• Lead and develop the IV AME team of experienced Venture professionals.
• Originate, screen and execute new Venture investments in the US.
• Lead asset management of the US Venture Equity and Funds portfolio including managing Board representation and follow-on investments and exits.
• Manage ESG risk for portfolio companies.
• Work closely with Internal Incubators and Business Areas in Equinor to ensure strategic fit in origination work and deal maturation.
• Maintain and develop the external Ventures ecosystem in the US

Industrial Venturing (IV) will originate, manage deal flow, and execute on venture capital investments to support roadmaps in NBI, and other business area requests. IV consists of two geographical Teams, IV Europe and IV Americas.

The IV team consists of a diverse and experienced group of people from different backgrounds, located in Boston, Stamford and Houston (US), London (UK), Oslo, Stavanger and Trondheim (Norway). Team members have background ranging from engineering, finance and operations and business development.

• A Bachelor’s degree in technical disciplines, business and/or finance. Master’s degree is preferred
• More than 10 years experience in Venture Capital, preferably with experience from Investments, Corporate Venture Capital, M&A or Business Development.
• A minimum of 5 years leadership experience with a proven track record of leading across borders and cultures.
• Experience and interest for the energy transition with the ability to combine market perspectives and Equinor strategies into objectives for the Industrial Venturing Unit
• The ability to navigate complexity with many contributors and stakeholders.
• You to demonstrate patience, dedication, and endurance
• A willingness to travel regularily within the US and less frequently internationally required
