M&J is seeking a Corporate Safety Manager to be responsible for the management of all safety and security matters during all Project phases including design, construction, start-up, commissioning and testing.

Responsibilities

• Managing M&J project level safety personnel.• Generating and/or reviewing project Siet safety manuals to assure compliance with M&J Safety program and relevant protocols.• Managing and overseeing safety training for M&J personnel. Conducting training as well.• Conducting field visits to M&J projects and assuring safety compliance of all M&J personnel.• Managing PPE issued to M&J Personnel (including purchasing of various elements. For example, fall arrest harness. • Managing and maintaining OSHA 300 logs• Responding to jobsite incidents, attending meetings, and collecting reports for potential lawsuits.• Participate in Projects Safety Meetings as required.

Qualifications

The Corporate Safety Manager will have the following credentials:

1. Demonstrated experience as a safety manager for minimum of 5 years. 2. Experience as the head of safety on at least one MTA C&D transit projects and/or an MTA B&T bridge rehabilitation project. 3. Successful completion of the 40-hour NYC-Department of Buildings Site Safety Manager Course. 4. Successful completion of the 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health (29 CFR 1926) Course. 5. Successful completion 32-Hour OSHA Site Safety Training (SST) for Supervisors.6. Successful completion of a 4-hour Supported Scaffold User course by a NYC Department of Buildings Authorized Scaffold Training School or person. 6. Possess certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST).
