Our client is a Maritime Transportation industry, they are a global integrated logistics and shipping company connecting customer values that provides customized services for different cargo including container cargo (dry, reefer and special cargo) and bulk cargo for raw materials, oil and plants.

They are equipped with over a hundred various vessels, including small ships, mega containerships and VLCCs* and global seaway networks linking logistics facilities of each country and the globe. The client has the foundation for stable shipping services anytime and anywhere. In addition, their shipping and logistics experts propose optimized solutions based on diverse maritime transportation experiences and precise market analysis.

Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:

As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible handling Europe and United States accounts for the full sales cycle, including lead generation, delivering impactful presentations, and closing deals. You will also play a key role in marketing, strategic planning, and handling various administrative tasks to support the company growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Marketing and Planning

Daily:

  • Proactive communication with SHQ Trade Management team for proper SVC loop space management and maximization
  • Provide Target Account (w/ details such POL-PVY/Vol/Com/Ideal Rate) for SHQ/HQ PRC review

Weekly:

  • Timely coordination with HQ PRC PIC to ensure current market rate momevement (MI) is relayed for proper analysis
  • Constant Communication with KAM/SHQ/HQ PRC/EHQ Sales PIC/team for potential customer support (Sales Lead Submission)

Sales Activities

Daily:

  • Sales Call/Visit: To maintain biz support from existing A/C and build good rapport to potential/target biz
  • Prospect potential biz by checking previous data base (GAUS/Previous lifting PFMC) and perform telemarketing to express interest to participate with their O/B Biz
  • Sales Pipeline update
  • Gather market information such as GRI application/Current Rate Update/New biz opportunity/Competitors Service & Activities
  • Service Promotion by distribution of the Service Proposal and LTS for EU and LATAM trade
  • Account Group biz update (IFF/FOB/BCO/CIF) by gathering current requirement and relay to proper PIC for further study and promotion.

Weekly:

  • Sales Team meeting to discuss account updates, ensure given target allocation assigned by SHQ & SHQ are fulfilled through planning and pricing discussion with SHQ&HC PRC

Administrative Activities

Daily:

  • GBP Update/Report
  • Data update for Account Group lifting support with company.
  • Booking Unblocking Upload/Request to SHQ
  • GRM Creation Request to SHQ / HQ

Weekly:

  • Head of Department (HOD) report update (Vessel Simulation/Rate/MI/Account wise update)

Monthly:

  • Monthly SHQ GBP update to be submitted to SHQ team for proper SVC allocation distribution

Support Activities for CS/Docs/Accounting

Bi-Monthly:

  • Service Contract filing (Update/Amendment)

Adhoc

  • Vessel Advisory (Delay/Connecting Vessel detail changes) distribution to customer
  • Auto-Rating
  • Customer EQ pullout / BKG Amendment concerns
  • Request to Management for Seaway Bill/Telex/DO release for customers w/ overdue SOA
  • Coordinate with customer payment status/plan for the ones w/ overdue SOA
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in managerial role
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales (end to end process – lead generation presentation and closing of deals) in international shipping company.
  • Graduate of any 4 years business course, or any related courses from reputable university
  • Excellent communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong ability to balance persuasion with professionalism.
  • Interpersonal, problem-solving, and organization skills.

Emp type: Monday to Friday - 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Location: Onsite - Parañaque City.
