GENERAL SUMMARY: VP of Sales, Energy
This role’s primary responsibility is to grow Energy sales through the leadership and coaching of sales managers and, where applicable, sales team members to achieve above and beyond results. The Head of Sales also plays a critical role in ensuring strong accountability in their teams, making sure we are on pace for strategic objectives.
This person’s direct reports will include the director of the Energy SMB sales team and the director of Energy Key Accounts sales team. While the directors will be in the day to day with each of their reps, the head of sales also plays a critical role in holding these teams accountable, making sure we are on pace for both renew/new, overseeing both direct and indirect sales, serving as a coach (not a player/coach) for reps on large deals.
To be successful in this role you must lead sales teams through the continuous development and management of sales managers, as well as build effective relationships across the business to enable key results. You must also possess the ability to see the big picture and strike the right balance between identifying opportunities in the marketplace and providing feedback on go-to-market strategy. It is crucial that you do not lose sight of pipeline management and putting structures in place where needed.
