Overview:
Navitas is ready to invest in you! We are seeking a Manufacturing Technichian in Ann Arbor, Michigan that will support lithium-ion cell and battery pack production by performing technical support tasks in the areas of calibrations, data analysis, data management, and equipment maintenance. On-site support and training across the process will be provided.
This position will pay between $21-$24 per hour.
Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.
Responsibilities:
- Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.

Master operation of all process machines in assigned work area.

Monitor, report, and follow set procedure helping to efficiently direct on-site resources to any error signals, alarms, and anomalies and respond to maintain safety, quality, and yield.

Help on-site resources to troubleshoot process failures and follow a systematic root cause analysis and corrective action process to resolve.

Help on site resources conduct preventative maintenance and calibrations according to approved schedules and procedures.

Work with manufacturing engineering to implement approved process changes.

Assist in process optimization studies.

Write and update operator work instructions.

Assist team leads in training operators.
-
Maintain and practice lock out tag out procedures.

Ensure daily 5S of work area (maintain clean and organized work areas).

Assist in management and analysis of production data (test data, machine logs, yield data, etc..).

Be punctual and reliable in attendance.

Follow all company policies regarding safety, quality, and conduct.

Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions.
- Provides advisory support and assistance to the department manager as needed.
- Responsible for meeting team targets and key performance indicators.

Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team.

Follow all safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner.

Physical presence on the job is essential including weekends and holidays if deemed necessary.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience
-
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a small part manufacturing process (battery or electronic parts preferred)

Minimum 1 years of experience in automated equipment set-up, troubleshooting, and maintenance

High school or GED degree required
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Machine troubleshooting and maintenance experience specific to small part production

MS office suite skills for data management and analysis (MS Excel)

Good verbal communication skills (English)

Strong attention to detail

Ability to lift 40 pound loads several times per day

Good visual acuity

Good interpersonal skills

Good manual dexterity with both hands

Ability to stand for 2 – 4 hours at a time

Ability to work in dry room / clean room environment (0 to 2% relative humidity)
