The Manufacturing Technician I is responsible for learning all of the manufacturing processes in lab support to make buffers and other techniques as needed. Responsible for the manufacturing, and in-process testing of potential and existing products. Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgement is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Normally receives no instructions on routine work, general instructions on new assignments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Learn department policies and procedures per departmental SOP’s and Batch Records for all manufacturing functions within the department. Prepare buffers and other general laboratory reagents according to standard formulations.
2. Formulate bulk products, and review completed batch records.
3. May perform in-process or final product testing.
4. Operate and maintain production equipment.
5. Weigh, measure, and check materials to assure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients
and quantities.
6. Maintain inventory of chemicals, antibodies, or supplies. Perform cycle counting and MRP
transactions. Input data as required in the related databases/tracking systems including but not limited to Filemaker, SAP etc.
7. Keep abreast of the basic requirements for compliance in own area of work and complies with those
requirements. Participate as required in training on regulatory issues affecting own area of work.
Bring regulatory compliance questions/issue to the attention of management.
8. Follow the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures. Take responsibility for safety in immediate work area. Participate in EH&S programs. Notify supervisor of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices. May provide recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment.
9. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or group Lead.
