The Co-Op Marketing Position supports activities for developing business strategies that achieve our organizational commitments and long-term growth goals. It is a role for those that are curious and have a desire to learn. Skills needed may include strong initiative, customer interfacing, communication both internally and externally, research, analytics, and data mining. At the end of the Co-Op, the candidate should have a thorough understanding of market trends, customers, vehicle systems, competition, and technologies related to the project assigned. this Co-Op is for the 2nd half of 2023.
Responsibilities and Activities:
Market and Technology Trends

Researching and becoming familiar with assigned applications related to Vehicle Electrification

Identifying trends in technologies, customer, and competitive landscapes

Supporting market sizing modelling and Total Available Market (TAM) vs Serviceable Available Market (SAM)
-
Understanding impacts to market due to legislative drivers
Competitive Landscape
-
Building competitor databases including company history, financial performance, product offering, strengths, and weaknesses
-
May support competitor product benchmarking with partner from engineering team
Pricing Intelligence
-
Building market pricing intelligence database using real-world market feedback from quotations and by researching 3rd party publications
Value Proposition Creation
-
Identifying and quantifying sources of value versus the next best alternative

Converting this value into a selling strategy
Strategy Definition

Using all the above inputs, support definition of market channels and market entry strategy

Pursuing or attained BS in Business or Engineering preferred
