The role you’ll contribute:

We are seeking a creative and motivated design and marketing intern to join our Digital Marketing Content and Web Teams. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including designing visual assets for our social media endeavors, assisting with the process of creating and managing content for digital spaces, managing a design library, documenting work for the development process, and other initiatives for the teams. This paid internship is ideal for someone who is creative, agile, eager to learn, and looking to gain practical experience in a dynamic digital marketing environment.

Leadership Development Interns gain meaningful insight into AHS leadership operations and

administration during a 10- to 12-week timeframe.

  • How to build and maintain websites and pages, including how to design new elements and hand-off for development.
  • How to maintain information databases, a design library, and an asset library.
  • How to communicate within the corporate structure, including presenting to various levels within the hierarchy.
  • How to analyze and evaluate requests with a strategic lens, including the use of data and research for decision-making.
  • How decisions are made in a team environment, how to be a part of that process, and how to effectively move from ideation to ready-to-work.
  • How to create high-quality and engaging digital content for social media, including copy, graphics and videos.
  • How to understand and analyze key social media KPIs to make informed decisions.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the development and execution of creative concepts that align with the brand's visual identity and overall marketing strategy.
  • Help maintain and organize the digital inventories, ensuring all items are labeled and stored appropriately for easy retrieval.
  • Edit and build PowerPoint presentation slides to be clear and screen-share-ready.
  • Provide support to the creative team as needed, including photo editing, resizing, and other design-related tasks.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide creative input on website enhancements, social media content, blogs, strategic changes, and process changes.
  • Work closely with team members to understand project requirements and ensure final deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Handle other tasks and duties as assigned.


Qualifications


The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in graphic design, visual communication, marketing, interdisciplinary studies, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, and Figma, as well as Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, including color theory, typography, and layout.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of web design principles and experience designing for digital is a plus.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing trends is a plus.
  • Knowledge of social media management software, such as Sprout is a plus.
