Marketing Manager

Position Title: Marketing Manager

Department: Marketing

Status: Full-Time

Reports to: SVP of Marketing

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Hurst, TX Support Center

Position Purpose

This position would manage marketing projects and initiatives for local retail, and e-commerce audiences across various channels for JTH Tax Inc.’s entire brand portfolio.

Position Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

  • Reports directly to and works closely with the SVP of Marketing to create, implement, and optimize marketing campaigns including but not limited to email, paid and organic social, SMS, paid search, display, remarketing, affiliate programs and various other channels.
  • Plan, execute and manage email marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation and data processing, pre-deployment testing and quality control, and reporting and analysis
  • Develop, own, and optimize scalable processes to enable departmental and organizational success
  • Monitor, measure, report, and own results of marketing campaigns
  • Providing detailed analysis of key metrics and provide/execute against optimization recommendations
  • Leverage various 3rd party platforms and tools to manage, report, and optimize campaigns
  • Work with various vendors directly to drive continuously improving results for our marketing initiatives
  • Develop email engagement strategies to grow number of email subscribers, increase call-to-action conversion and reduce email opt-outs
  • Develop production schedules; develop processes and workflows to maximize output with available resources
  • Perform A/B and multivariate testing on email campaigns to continually improve campaign performance
  • Develop documentation and road maps for processes, A/B tests, and promotions that succeed
  • Use Analytics and other tools to monitor, report, and optimize campaign performance
  • Provide recommendations to strengthening marketing performance and enhancing overall effectiveness
  • Present results and recommendations to management
  • Instill strong leadership and build a culture of creativity in the marketing department and beyond

Position Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of marketing experience in an agency or corporate marketing department
  • Tax or accounting industry experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business, Advertising or related field
  • Has a proven track record for driving results in a challenging environment
  • Has email marketing experience, familiarity with ESP platforms, and basic HTML expertise
  • Displays deep passion and subject matter expertise for marketing automation and digital advertising
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Has developed, executed, and optimized multitasking and time management best practices
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to ensure coordinated, integrated messaging and maximized performance
  • Must be results driven, have obsessive attention to detail, and be a team player
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate successes and failures of campaigns both written and orally
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
  • Excellent analytic and organizational skill sets
  • Proven ability to translate business strategies into thoughtful advertising strategies and a keen understanding of what makes effective creative advertising in the digital environment
  • Proficiency in omni-channel marketing and marketing technology
  • Highly analytical and able to derive meaning from data through A/B testing and other optimization techniques.
  • Excellent writer and communicator (in both the written and verbal form).

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The position requires working at a desk at the corporate office for periods of time up to eight hours

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
