Director, Credit Risk Operations

National: A baseline tier that applies to most of the geographic territory of the United States.
Premium: Slightly elevated from the National tier, and oriented toward a narrower set of higher cost-of-living areas, such as Los Angeles CA and Seattle WA
Premium Plus: A tier for the most expensive working areas, like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City.

Marqeta is looking for a Director of Credit Risk Operations to oversee and optimize the operational aspects of credit programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit operations, process optimization, and team leadership within the fintech or financial services industry.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive operational strategy for credit programs
Identify opportunities to streamline and improve credit program operations while mitigating risk
Analyze credit performance metrics and key risk indicators
Establish quality assurance standards and procedures
Collaborate with risk management and compliance teams
Support Credit Product and Technology teams
Implement monitoring processes to track credit exposures
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Manage relationships with third-party vendors
Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team
