If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.We are offering an exciting career opportunity in the capacity of Hotel Area Sales Manager selling for the Fairfield Inn Tewksbury, Fairfield Inn Amesbury, MA, and Fairfield Inn Wallingford, CT!Qualified candidate must be a committed, dedicated, and experienced individual that shares a commitment to superior quality, service, and are honest and passionate about providing high standards with great results, driven by our Company Values and Guiding Principles – Associate Engagement, Presentation of our Hotels, Driving Guest Loyalty, Ensuring Financial Success, and Community and Global Focus.Job Overview: To increase profits by increasing room sales and generating business through an aggressive sales effort.Job Duties:Implements the sales activities within all market segments to achieve budgeted goals.Solicits, evaluates, sells, and confirms business to meet overall assigned market segment’s budgeted sales and profit margin.Assists in developing and executes projects for assigned market areas to increase sales volume and profitability.Creates and distributes in-house advertising and promotional campaigns.Maintains hotel competitive analysis statistical information.Coordinates with various departments the activities related to booked business to ensure customer satisfaction and property profit.Maintains effective plan of correspondence.Maintains current recordkeeping system and prepares reports (Sales Call Reports, Internal Sales Reports, etc.)Participates in ongoing education and training of Franchise and Hotel Management Company.Additional duties may be added at any time at the discretion of management.Requirements:Minimum of 2 years sales experience in a hotel, or equivalent position, in a similar type property.Excellent customer service.Ability to Multi-task.Proven record of successful Proactive Sales Effort.Experience & Strong reputation in the business community of the local market.Previous Hotel Sales experience preferred.Marriott Experience is preferred.Additional Skills:Ability to communicate effectively in written form and verbally both over the phone and in person.Ability to learn the current market and analyze STAR report for trends.What You Can Expect –Competitive PayBonus OpportunitiesTraining & DevelopmentOpportunity for AdvancementMedicalDentalVisionSTD, LTD, Accident Insurance401k with MatchPaid Time OffHoliday PayHotel DiscountsSafe Work EnvironmentCreating memorable experiences one guest at a timeOpportunities to give back to the community through our global focus efforts.Pay: $90,000.00 – $95,000.00 per yearPay Disclaimer:The base pay range represents the low and high end of the pay range.
