Flex-Schedule: Provide desired hours from which patients book 1x monthly tele-sessions, M-F, AM or PM, and *Sa & Su are available, but optional

Background

The onset of Covid-19 makes telemedicine a preferred choice for many and the optimal route to care for patients struggling with obesity. Patients and doctors both agree to the inherent value of 'mask less' interactions (via tele-session) which foster physician/patient relationships and encourage open dialogue about patients' experience with their prescribed treatment plan. Naturally, this info. empowers clinicians to adjust when necessary and treat more effectively.This is just one reason my client's patients achieve above-average results with weight loss intervention and long-term management.

Their proprietary app and evidence-based treatment model positions patients to lose approx. 5 lbs. per month. A dedicated team of data scientists aggregate and interpret massive amounts of clinical data in support of medical care planning. Medical teams (MDs and RDNs) leverage these insights to inform the custom care plans they design for each patient and their unique biological makeup. The company is eager to partner with actively licensed (good standing) physicians in MA, board certified in obesity medicine, by the ABOM.

Responsibilities & Scope

• Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations via evidence-based tools and patient reports
• Review patients' medical histories, symptoms, allergies, and current medications
• Define reasonably attainable and clinically-sound treatment regimens and care plans
• Recommend or prescribe diagnostic tests to aid in drawing accurate diagnoses
• Analyze and share diagnostic test results, clinical indications, and response plans
• Prescribe FDA-approved medication and dosage and administration instructions
• Maintain patient records that include contact information, medical hx, & progress
• Collaborate with RDNs, culinary medicine experts, and behavioral health experts

Scope (per Full-Time)

• 55 patients per week; 240 patients per month
• 34 of 40 hours allocated to direct patient care each week
• 6 of 40 hours are reserved for related clinical administrative duties

Qualifications

• Required Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
• Required Board Certification: American Board of Obesity Medicine, ABOM Diplomate
• Required License: Active (good standing) medical license in state of practice: MA
• Required Experience: A minimum of 3 years directly treating obesity or obesity-related conditions
• Required Weekly Commitment: minimum of 30 hours per week o Strong preference for 30 or more hours per week
