Senior Social Media Content Strategist

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Social Media Content Strategist to lead the charge in developing innovative, results-driven social media strategies that amplify our clients’ brand presence and foster community growth. This is an exciting opportunity to make an impact, collaborating closely with a dynamic team to shape the future of our social media initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Social Media Content Strategist, you will:

  • Lead and Strategize
    • Develop and execute innovative social media strategies for clients and agency platforms to enhance brand visibility, engagement, and growth.
    • Partner with internal teams (Account, PR, Digital, Creative) to create 360-degree campaigns that align with client objectives and agency goals.
  • Content Creation and Management
    • Oversee the creation, curation, and scheduling of high-quality content (graphics, videos, captions) for social media channels, ensuring alignment with brand voice and messaging.
    • Create comprehensive content calendars tailored to specific goals, including engagement, awareness, and conversions.
    • Capture, edit, and publish photo and video content using an iPhone or professional-grade equipment when needed.
  • Analytics and Reporting
    • Track and analyze campaign performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to optimize strategies.
    • Develop monthly reporting for clients, focusing on key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, platform updates, and best practices to inform strategy.
  • Team and Client Collaboration
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring alignment on goals and delivering regular updates on performance and opportunities.
    • Build and maintain relationships with influencers to expand social media reach and impact.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Experience and Expertise
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
    • 4-6 years of hands-on social media strategy and content creation experience, preferably in an agency setting.
    • Proven ability to create and execute social campaigns that drive engagement and measurable results.
  • Technical Proficiency
    • Advanced knowledge of major social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube).
    • Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later, BrandWatch) and content creation/editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut).
    • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills with an eye for visual design.
  • Strategic and Creative Thinking
    • Ability to translate brand objectives into engaging content and campaigns.
    • Understanding of emerging social trends, meme culture, and viral content.
    • Analytical mindset to assess performance data and refine strategies.
  • Leadership and Collaboration
    • Experience managing and mentoring team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong client and team relationships.
  • Adaptability and Drive
    • Strong time management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
    • High levels of integrity, self-motivation, and a proactive approach to challenges.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience leading national consumer or retail brands.
  • Content development for PR and social use.
