Master Planner

Position Summary:

The Master Planner is in charge of developing production plans in adherence to the company's budget and deadlines. It is their duty to identify the production needs, set objectives, and guidelines that would usher employees into achieving a smooth and efficient workflow.

Master Planner Responsibilities:

  • Establish the master plan and weekly production plan for the company by converting demand (forecast, customer orders, customer schedules, commercialization timeline etc.) into a feasible production plan to ensure matched sets of materials and capacities are available to meet the needs of customers in a cost-effective and production efficient manner
  • Revisit and revise plan (if necessary) to incorporate changes either internally or externally driven (eg, changes in customer prioritizes)
  • Responsible for organizations capacity and making recommendations for additional capital through capacity analysis and proposal development
  • Act as the link from supply chain to stakeholders in manufacturing, project management, finance, and sales in order to meet established business goals
  • Generating Sales and Operations plans (SOP) while balancing market demand with production capacity and teaming with production management to achieve the most efficient use of production resources
  • Scheduling new orders and manage backlog in line with SOP and material plans, and be primary factory contact for CSR’s
  • Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for problem solving obtaining results
  • Introduces and integrates new technologies and/or new processes, as needed
  • Manages raw materials inventory levels
  • Develop and maintain necessary records and documentation in compliance with 3rd party audit system requirements
  • Responsible for various standard reporting and ad hoc analysis/reporting
  • Supports the cycle count process by analyzing and reconciling inventory discrepancies
  • Participates in planning projects that range from routine to moderately difficult

Master Planner Minimum qualifications:

  • Thorough and in-depth knowledge of ERP Systems, Master Production Scheduling, Production Planning, and Capacity Planning
  • EFI Radius, PSA or Print flow Knowledge a strong PLUS
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, inventory planning, distribution or purchasing
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience using an advanced planning system
  • Must have strong computer skills in Microsoft Office
  • APICS, CPIM, PMP - Preferred
  • Must be able to plan, coordinate, prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Must have good presentation and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and paperwork
  • Label / Printing industry experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
