We believe that our differences enable us to be a better team – one that makes better decisions, drives innovation and delivers better business results.Title And SummaryDirector, Finance Business PartnerOverview• Responsible for a broad range of finance related responsibilities and acts as a finance generalist for a business unit, region/country• Strategic finance partner to high growth business unit with oversight of full P&L management• Activities include deal management, short/long-term planning, contract management, pricing and product managementRole• Provides financial insights to leadership, leveraging an advanced understanding of budgeting, LRP and forecasting at detailed levels• Partner with business unit leadership to develop long-term organic and inorganic growth strategies aligned to corporate objectives and priorities• Deliver financial leadership for acquisition analysis, greenfield business development and high growth product revenue management• Drives all aspects of financial reporting related needs and requirements (e.g.. budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, target setting, monthly variances) for a designated area within Services• Partners with regions, business units, business partners and/or corporate to assist in developing, analyzing and validating new business opportunities.• Performs new business case development by providing counsel to the business around unit economics, financials, strategy and long-term viability• Assists with process improvements to ensure alignment with business objectives; proactively identifies ways to improve processes and executes agreed upon improvements• Manages a team, conducts goal setting and performance appraisal processes, identifies and coaches top talent within own team• Track record building internal and external business partnerships; develops and leverages key relationships in order to understand the needs and objectives of stakeholders• Successfully oversees the completion of global, complex management reporting (e.g. monthly financial results, quarterly forecasting, annual budgets)• Experience consulting and providing advice and feedback to the business on risk and opportunity considerations, leveraging advanced analytical techniques as well as outside trends and events• Extensive experience setting strategy for process improvement initiatives along with developing procedures for implementation• Demonstrated successful oversight of the management and resolution of high-risk issues to ensure completeness and efficiency• Successfully embodies change management; executes corporate cultural initiatives, enhancing the support of an ever-evolving environment to fulfill corporate goals and objectivesAll About You• BS or BA with a major in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA/CPA Preferred) with previous finance experience• The ideal candidate is fast-paced, highly analytical and detail-oriented, demonstrating a sense of urgency and experience with finance functions• Desire and ability to operate in an entrepreneurial environment• Strong thought leadership and people management skills; empowered and accountable• Independent worker & thinker with the ability to follow up on time sensitive issues, with the ability to influence others• A team player with the ability to communicate effectively and develop solid working relationships across multiple levels and organizational boundaries• Experience with financial systems/applications particular Excel, Hyperion and Oracle is strongly preferred• Experience building internal and external business partnerships; ability to develop and leverage key relationships in order to understand the needs and objectives of stakeholders• Ability to model and perform predictive analytics to review financial and operational analysis and scenarios• Experience operating in a diverse, multi-functional finance group• Exposure to supporting a designated business area on risk and opportunity considerations, leveraging analytical techniques as well as outside trends and events• Experience identifying and implementing process improvement activities; able to make recommendations to further improve proceduresMastercard is an inclusive equal opportunity employer that considers applicants without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disabled or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
