The PBP will partner with business leaders to implement a people strategy that advances the business and drives performance and work with the Centers of Excellence (COEs) and shared services function (GBSC) to ensure programs, processes and initiatives are successfully implemented and managed. This position reports to the Vice President, People Business Partner.Role• Responsible for the management and delivery of people and organizational initiatives and activities, including talent and performance management, learning, year-end compensation planning, and workforce planning within a business line or geography• Partner with the business to ensure personnel budget is managed throughout the year• Work in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure we have the right recruiting strategies in place and that we have the talent we need for the business• Manage the talent assessment process across the assigned functions in line with the global talent assessment approach• Work in partnership with the Talent Development team to ensure the functions supported have the right learning and development in place to meet their needs and that individual development plans can be actioned• Acts as a primary point of contact with COEs and the GBSC on program delivery issues and customizations for the business they support• Coaches managers and employees on development, employee relations and reward issues (in consultation with the COEs)• Conducts development plan audits and ensures appropriate plans are in place• Shares local intelligence and provides a “field perspective” on the effectiveness of programs and initiatives• Resolves complex service issues that have been escalated from COEs or the GBSC• Serves as subject matter expert on the local labor market and regulatory environmentAll About You• Relevant experience as a business partner with exposure to senior business leaders and coaching people leaders and employees across a broad range of people topics• Demonstrated success in consulting with leaders and other stakeholders on the local P&C issues• Experience building relationships and collaborating with other key stakeholders• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment and manage high volume with speed and quality• Strong communication and influencing skills, with ability to be empathetic while also making tough, commercially-focused decisions• Knowledge and experience of local employment laws and practicesMastercard is an inclusive equal opportunity employer that considers applicants without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disabled or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
