Material Bank is seeking a highly skilled business leader with deep operations experience and a solid understanding of WMS functionality. There will be a strong focus on downtime mitigation, functional design and testing, and operational excellence within complex same-day outbound processing environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), coupled with a strategic mindset for analytics, continuous improvement, and effective collaboration with peers, vendors, and clients. This role will play a crucial part in driving brand implementations and ensuring seamless operations through proactive problem-solving and optimization initiatives.

What you’ll do: 

  • WMS Optimization: Utilize deep expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to optimize system performance, reduce downtime, and enhance operational efficiency. 
  • Downtime Mitigation: Develop and implement strategies to minimize system downtime, including proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and rapid resolution of issues.
  • Functional Design and Testing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and test WMS functionalities, ensuring alignment with operational requirements and business objectives.
  • Operations Analytics: Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Develop actionable insights to drive decision-making and operational enhancements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflows, increase productivity, and reduce costs within the warehouse environment. Drive innovation through the implementation of best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Peer Collaboration: Work closely with operations teams, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to address challenges, share best practices, and drive alignment on operational goals.
  • Vendor and Client Interaction: Serve as a key point of contact for WMS vendors and clients, facilitating communication, managing expectations, and ensuring successful implementations and ongoing support.
  • Complex Same-Day Outbound Processing: Oversee and optimize same-day outbound processing operations, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment while meeting client SLAs and quality standards.
  • Brand Implementations: Lead the implementation of new brands or product lines within the warehouse, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions and alignment with brand requirements.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to warehouse staff on WMS functionality, best practices, and procedural changes. Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for WMS-related inquiries. 

What you’ll bring: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations analysis, with a focus on Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and complex same-day outbound processing environments.
  • Proven track record of mitigating downtime, designing and testing WMS functionalities, and driving operational excellence.
  • Expertise in data analysis tools and techniques, including SQL, Excel, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and WMS functionality.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in vendor and client-facing roles is highly desirable.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
