Your Responsibilities


As a Material Flow Team Leader for the John Deere Harvester Works division located in East Moline, IL, you will:


  • Lead Material Handler team to execute on our safety, quality, delivery and efficiency goals through Continuous Improvement (CI) plans and activities.
  • Deliver results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching and setting high standards on performance, policies, and procedures.
  • Elevate our safety culture through effective communications, leading by example, driving engagement in the Safety and Ergonomic Risk Assessment (SERA) process, prompt near miss reporting and a focus on implementing quick, thorough safety corrective actions.
  • Integrate the execution of smart connected factory initiatives.

  • Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement (CI) processes, lean manufacturing and 5S.
  • Experience with wage/union employee policies, practices, procedures.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross- functional teammates to identify opportunities and implement solutions.

Education Details


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
