Material Handler (2nd Shift)

We are excited to announce we are now looking for Material Handlers on our 2nd shift in Springfield, TN

Responsibilities will include:

• Supply manufacturing with necessary materials to support production.
• Safe operation of tow motor and other material handling equipment.
• Must be able to work other crews as required, and over time if necessary.
• Must be able to load and unload trucks.
• Ensure proper stock rotation. Be able to perform cycle counts. Must maintain correct stock transfers.
• Must be able to consistently lift 35 pounds.
• Maintain superior 6S throughout the materials dept.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in logistics or material handling preferred.
• Often must do repetitive tasks, bend or lift heavy objects repeatedly. Able to consistently lift up to 35 pounds. Physically fit to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods of time.
• Able to operate a fork lift and other material handling equipment.
• Good efficiency and time management skills.
• Required to wear special PPE such as gloves, still toe shoes and others as required.
• Pull/push heavy loads using a variety of tools including a manual pallet jack or other miscellaneous carts.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3 - 5 years Material Handling / Forklift experience; manufacturing setting preferred
• Basic math skills
• Basic knowledge of products
• Good communications skills, both verbally and written
• Basic computer skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,198.89 - $42,390.06 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Springfield, TN 37172: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
