Material Handler (3rd shift)

TITLE: MATERIAL HANDLER

REPORTS TO (TITLE): TEAM LEADER

FLSA Status: NON-EXEMPT

GENERAL FUNCTION - Material Handlers will be responsible for unloading product deliveries, staging products based on production orders and assisting with organizing and maintaining existing inventory. Material Handlers will help to maintain warehouse stock and assist in shop floor orders, and moving finished goods and raw material pallets.

SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS - List major activities performed.

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions & procedure manuals.

*Pack product following specific set of instructions

* Check to ensure containers are damage free

* Should be able to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

* Move completed packages for loading using power industrial equipment

* Escalate safety, quality, productivity or people concerns to Team Leader

*Box truck experience (non-CDL) is a plus

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Working Environment: Shop Floor

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience and Skills Required: Basic math and reading skills required. Must be able to lift up to approximately 50 to 100 pounds. Attention to detail needed. Must be able to maintain good attendance and flexible and willing to work overtime, as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
