Materials Coordinator

I am currently looking for a Materials Coordinator for a world leading manufacturing company located in Houston, TX. See job description below.

Overview:

• Collects, reviews, and inputs data into proprietary software.
• Requests quotes from vendors, purchase supplies and parts following policies and procedures.

Major Responsibilities:

• Controls inventory levels and data in proprietary software.
• Works directly with vendors to obtain quotes.
• Creates purchase requisitions for maintenance supplies and parts with manager approval.
• Collects, reviews, and inputs data into a computer processing system, audits output data.
• May be expected to code data and input data for computer processing.

Education:

• Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Skills:

• Organizational skills
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to accurately document data.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must have a safety and quality mindset.
• Ability to efficiently manage time.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred)
• Data entry: 2 years (Preferred)
• Inventory control: 2 years (Preferred)
• Precision measuring instruments: 2 years (Preferred)
• Logistics: 2 years (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
