Materials Manager

Job Summary:
Manage procurement activities, shop floor control, capacity planning, inventory control, and material handling.

Responsibilities:
Manger all procurement activities to meet the plant objectives in cost downs, production requirement, and expense controls.
Oversee short and long range production plan in respect to shop capacity, lean manufacturing, availability of components and inventory levels.
Supervise purchasing and planning activities, packaging, receiving, and inventory control.
Create department objectives to support the Control Plant objectives.
Create operational policies and procedures.
Promote good cooperation and teamwork effort within and outside the immediate scope of responsibilities.
Travel: 15% to 25%

Requirements

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Undergraduate degree in Materials/Operations Management or related business degree plan

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
5 years Materials Management experience
3 years supervisory experience
5 years MRP experience
