Maternal Child Educator

Maternal Child Educator (RN) -

PT 56 Hours Bi-weekly : M-F Hours with expected rotation to evenings and every 3rd or 4th weekend as determined.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN strongly preferred.

International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification &/ or

Certified Lactation Counselor is required within one year of date of hire/ transfer into position.

Clinical experience/competency in women's and children's health with previous educational roles in the clinical setting is ideal.

The Maternal Child Educators provide all families preventative care services (parenting classes, car seat support, inpatient and outpatient lactation support). Additionally, the MCE provides ongoing staff development via in-person and web-based education to all including nurses and providers.
