The Marketing Communications and Design Solutions Leader will lead the in-house creative design and marketing communications teams for our Paper & Packaging (P&P) business. The role will provide strategy and direction for all P&P marketing communications touch points including advertising, tradeshows, public relations, social channels, email and direct mail marketing, content, and all websites. This leader will have responsibility for determining and driving implementation of key marketing initiatives to deliver sales revenue above current market performance and measure effectiveness. With leadership over the in-house creative design and communications departments, this role is critical in ensuring all projects are executed from concept to production.
Scope:
• Oversight of P&P Marketing Communications strategy for advertising, public relations, content marketing, go-to-market commercialization and online channels including websites and social marketing. Scope includes B2B and B2C facing brands.
• Oversight of strategic sponsorships and partnerships for Paper & Packaging business.
• Leadership through influence by working cross functionally with individuals throughout the organization and externally to deliver results. Internal includes marketing, design solutions, channel marketing, sales, customer service, IT, and procurement. External includes agencies/firms, strategic partners, advertising buyers and sponsors, print partners, design partners, and web / email partners.
• Oversight of internal creative team to support design solutions for end user selling and internal creative projects for marketing initiatives across printed collateral, promotional and advertising pieces, and online digital assets. Initiatives may spread across mediums such as print, brand identity and interactive, for screens, devices, and event spaces.
• Leads P&P Design Solutions department to drive customer intimacy/revenue via customer driven initiatives.
responsibilities:
Marketing Communications, Public Relations, Content Management Strategy
- Lead team of skilled experts to develop, implement and measure integrated marketing campaigns designed to enhance the position and image of the brands within P&P portfolio.
- Research industry trends, social media/engagement tools and uses them within in targeted integrated marketing campaigns.
- Oversee the voice for all aspects of campaigns and content.
- Identify new content opportunities and ways to repurpose existing content throughout the marketing communications plan including online, blog, social, articles, white papers, advertising, and tradeshows. Define content needs for annual integrated marketing plan including working with internal and external creative and design teams.
Strategic Advertising, Sponsorships and Partnerships
- Establish an advertising plan to create interest in Neenah’s paper and packaging products. Encourage response rates and traffic through applicable campaigns.
- Promote appropriate brands through procuring strategic partnerships with groups aligning with product and audiences.
- Oversee strategic direction of Trade Shows.
- Online Marketing, Social Media, Ecommerce, SEO/SEM, Email Strategy
- Create annual strategy and scope of work for all online business initiatives working with digital leads within the team plus agency partners on aggressive growth targets, new technologies and refreshed plans.
Creative Leadership
- Leads creative direction and brand integrity for P&P creative projects.
- Translates market research and positioning work into a cohesive brand ID and messaging strategy for all brands within P&P.
- Drives cost savings via internal design capabilities including printed collateral, promotional and advertising pieces, online digital assets, etc.
Project & Team Management
- Leads P&P Design Solutions and marketing departments.
- Responsible for development and performance of the internal creative and communications teams.
- Oversees the project management process for Design Solutions and all other marketing communications projects and campaigns.
- Responsible for creation and management of the annual marketing communications budget.
qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree required, preferred focus in marketing, communications, advertising business or equivalent.
- 10+ years of marketing communications and/or brand marketing experience in both B2C and B2B environments leading Brands.
- A strong balance of creative and analytical skills to drive creative teams to execute using data and insights.
- Creative visual and verbal storyteller.
- Goal-oriented and strives for continuous improvement.
- Thrives in fast-paced environment and comfortable rolling up sleeves. Must be adaptable with willingness to efficiently manage multiple priorities and dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational, communication and project management skills.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership and skilled in leading projects.
