About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer in test to join the quality team and help with the development of manual and automated test cases for Matterport Platform which serves billions of requests a month . We are looking for someone who is passionate about software quality and who can lead both manual and automated testing efforts.The ideal candidate is an individual who thrives on new challenges, possesses a strong enterprise and web testing background.

What you will do: - Take ownership of long range planning, and lead end-to-end and cross-functional integration tests
- Collaborate closely with development and testing teams in an Agile environment to define the test cases required to verify the functionality of Matterport’s cloud platform
- Lead proof of concept efforts using software and hardware to enable faster testing and releases of Matterport applications
- Create, maintain, and execute manual test cases
- Detect, isolate, reproduce, document, and help prioritize defects. Ensure that defects can be reproduced and documented in sufficient detail for developers to investigate the issues further.
- Participate in sanity, regression and performance and end to end integration testing efforts.
- Verify successful integration of customer facing platform services and internal systems
- Aid automation efforts by providing the framework and infrastructure to allow engineers to continuously automate test cases.
- Continuously add and maintain test cases to increase the automation coverage for cloud and backend applications. Also improve the stability of automation runs.
Who you are:- Bachelors in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or a related field
- 12+ experience in testing software applications, application lifecycle management, functional, integration and performance testing
- Min of 8 years experience with languages such as Javascript, Python, Kotlin, Java etc
- Experience using test tools such as TestRail and BrowserStack or related tools.
- Experience using Selenium-based testing frameworks such as webdriverio in automating web applications
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD, Git, Jenkins or related development/test tools.
- Experience designing and delivering original test tools and frameworks to solve unique problems in an innovative way.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, including working with individuals in different geographical locations and time-zones

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $109,824 to $171,600 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
