Staff Accountant

Maxar is currently looking for a Staff Accountant to join the Accounting team in Herndon, VA. Duties and Responsibilities... Responsible for all aspects of cash receipts in Deltek Costpoint – entering, reviewing, and researching. Daily monitoring of cash transactions from banking system. Reconcile assigned GL accounts monthly. Enter assigned projects and review setup for all project types (CPFF, T&M, FFP) to ensure SOX compliance. Monitor inflow of project setup requests and resolve any issues to ensure timeliness. Monitor inflow of project closeout requests and perform closeout analysis as needed. Assist in external and internal audit requests. Assist in monthly close procedures. Other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualification: Must be a U.S. Citizen Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance and/or equivalent years of experience CostPoint and government contract experience 2-5 years of experience in accounting Maxar Technologies values diversity in the workplace and is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
