With your expertise, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and compassionate care to our diverse patient population.Provide professional and accurate interpretation services in Russian and English to facilitate communication between healthcare providers and non-English speaking patients.Utilize strong understanding of medical terminology to accurately interpret and translate medical information between patients and healthcare providers.Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with patients and healthcare providers.Build rapport and establish trust with patients to ensure effective communication and understanding of medical information.Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely communication of medical information to patients.Stay up-to-date on medical terminology and procedures to ensure accurate interpretation and translation services.Attend training and development programs to enhance interpreting skills and stay current on industry standards.Communicate any cultural or linguistic barriers to healthcare providers to ensure culturally competent care for patients.Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interpreted sessions.Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and patient privacy guidelines.Serve as a cultural and linguistic resource for healthcare providers and staff.Work collaboratively with other medical interpreters to provide coverage for a diverse patient population.Demonstrate sensitivity and empathy when working with patients from diverse backgrounds.Continuously seek feedback and actively work on improving language and interpreting skills.Act as an advocate for patients to ensure their needs are met and their voices are heard.Mayo Clinic is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
