Position Title: Director Sales US RetailPosition Type: Regular - Full-TimePosition Location: Oakbrook TerraceRequisition ID: 32254JOB PURPOSE:The Retail Sales Director is a senior sales position at McCain Foods US Retail. This role is responsible for leading some of our most strategic businesses and expanding our commercial relationships. The Sales Director will lead and drive the sales strategy, managing a high-performance team to achieve growth and profitability targets. This role is focused on joint business planning, consumption forecasting, new business development, trade management, broker management, and long-range planning. The Sales Director will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans that align with the company's goals, managing key customer relationships, and overseeing the performance and development of the sales team.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Some of the key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:Becoming the partner of choice for our customers, driving sustained category growth and profit. Drive world-class customer stewardship and account management.Elevate selling capability, provide coaching and development, building an engaged, high performing team. Strategically work with the customer to understand their needs to create win-win sales propositions.Utilize the principles of enterprise selling to develop joint customer business plans. Orchestrate strategic customer meetings which are focused on the entire value chain.Deploy the full organizational resources of McCain and customer in collaborative partnerships which provide sustainable competitive advantage.MEASURES OF SUCCESS:People Leadership - Drives team engagement and capability.Thought Leader - ability to articulate and champion ideas both internally and externally.Negotiator - ability to communicate and understand the requirements of both customers and McCain and achieve win-win results through complex, high-stakes situations with good judgment, energy and persistence. Presence - ability to adapt to each audience and bring a strategy to life.Researcher - ability to research, uncover, listen and understand the key attributes of products, the needs of consumers and customers and overall trends.Demonstrate a keen understanding of how to generate and calculate ROI from customer promotions and initiatives.KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:Bachelor's Degree (Business Administration, Marketing, Statistics, and Economics or equivalent). 8+ years of progressive experience in managing large retail accounts.Sales strategy, Finance and/or Category management experience plus People management experience, preferably within the consumer-packaged goods industry.Ability to analyze data and information into actionable strategies and business recommendation .Support and guide team members across the organization. Effectively and persuasively expresses ideas and opinions.Strong time management skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple functions and levels.
