Job Description

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for assuring all processes relating to the product output within the value stream function are in conformance with established, systematic management operating systems. The successful candidate will develop and oversee front line supervision, with indirect supervision over engineers and maintenance personnel. 

Salary Range: $88,539-$130,205

JOB DUTIES

  • Ensure all safety standards are adhered to.
  • Ensure effective utilization of all machining/assembly personnel and equipment within value stream.
  • Ensure the proper and timely training of all reports in required policies, procedures, methodologies, and safety requirements.
  • Perform employee reviews of reporting supervision on a yearly basis.
  • Monitor and report all discipline actions relating to company policies.                
  • Deal with Union relations as it relates to area.
  • Research and report on the cause of any machined component problems, and in consultation with the appropriate personnel, produce a solution to the problem before machining any additional components.
  • Conformance to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and standards.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA Degree in Management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of machine and assembly standards and practices.
  • Lean manufacturing and ISO 9001 knowledge preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, strong in Excel
  • Production planning and or scheduling experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to tolerate standing, walking, dust, fumes, and noise.
  • Standing for long periods of time, walking throughout the facility, ability to lift 50lbs as required.
