What you will do:

Inspect, operate, maintain and troubleshoot meters, including orifice, rotary, ultrasonic, and turbine, their associated meter tubes, orifice plates, recorders, gauges transmitters and emissions monitoring equipment to ensure accurate gas measurement.
Calculate volume rates and sizes orifice plates to set flow rates.
Inspect, operate and maintain the following gas quality equipment: Gas Chromatographs, sulfur and hydrogen sulfide monitors, oxygen monitors, and water vapor instruments.
Collect spot or continuous gas samples and liquid samples, labels package and ship samples for determination of gas quality and composition.
Inspect, operate, maintain and troubleshoot control valves, regulators, relief valves and control instruments to provide accurate, reliable and safe control of flow rates and pressures.

Who you are:

You have:

An Associate’s degree in a relevant technical field or possess equivalent training.
A valid driver’s license.

You can:

Reside or are willing to reside within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location.

You are:

Someone who can perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.
Able and willing to work overtime, weekends, be on call and standby, and travel overnight as required.

The following are considered assets:

Two (2) years experience as a technician or the equivalent experience necessary to perform all of the required tasks of the assigned discipline(s).
Strong technical and analytical skills demonstrated through training, formal education, and/or experience.
Computer literate with working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook software.
Able to work independently with little direction.
Able to work and contribute to a positive team environment where inclusiveness, integrity, honesty, and openness are valued.
Proven ability to drive and perform job duties safely.
Innovative problem solver without compromising SOPs.
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
Willing to assume responsibility and take initiative to resolve issues.
Must possess a desire to learn and advance, as incumbent is required to progress to the next level within the Technician Job Family within a certain period of time. (Time requirements may be adjusted by management based on previous experience of candidate.)
Working knowledge of operations used in the maintenance and repair of measurement equipment.

Working Conditions:

Work performed in typical office environment with some required field work
Scheduled travel is up to 25% of the time going to Enbridge offices and field locations
Available outside normal work hours to address any technical, cost, safety and environmental issues that occur during active projects

Include but are not limited to: Balancing, bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 25 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 25 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
