MeBe is seeking an Insurance & Authorizations Coordinator to join our growing clinical services team! Under the supervision of the Insurance & Authorizations Manager, the Authorizations Coordinator supports the authorization department staff to ensure they have met every requirement needed prior to a client starting services, as well as fulfilling requests from insurance providers. The Authorizations Coordinator directly affects clinical employee satisfaction by being a catalyst between clinicians and insurance providers, guaranteeing our clinicians have the approved codes to serve our patients. This position will work in conjunction with our billing department and contracting department, prior to setting up approvals for our clinicians and patients.

About What You’ll Work On:
Directly manage authorization requests for Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy services.
Work cohesively with Authorizations & Family Success team members to ensure approvals are processed in a timely manner during onboarding and re-authorization periods.
Effectively communicate benefit and authorization information between clinicians and the Family Success department.
Full ownership of the medical records requests when received from Doctor’s offices or Insurance providers.
Ensure that department resources are updated daily/weekly with upcoming authorization expirations and treatment report submissions.
Oversee biweekly eligibility reports.
Accurately identify and correct problems related to eligibility and authorizations.
Provides concierge-level customer service while interacting with insurance company representatives.
Oversee and perform various clerical and administrative tasks related to authorizations and associated issues that require initiative and independent judgment.
Respond to day-to-day operational requirements in a professional and timely manner.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in the medical/behavioral health field, with a strong understanding of outpatient Speech, Occupational, and Applied Behavior Analysis therapies.
Associate's degree in a related field is highly preferred.
Advanced experience with Central Reach, required.
Located in San Diego or in the Pacific Standard Time zone.
Have a dedicated HIPAA compliant workspace with minimal distractions, required.
Able to maintain a reliable home internet connection, required.
Experience in the outpatient office setting is highly preferred.
Understand and experience with the verification of benefits and prior authorization processes.
Strong organizational and analytical skills; innovative with the ability to identify and solve problems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Professional experience with medical documentation and cover letters.
Advanced understanding of Google Suites, Microsoft Word, Excel, IOS and email.
Experience in Monday.com is a plus.
Dependable – This is a remote hourly role. It is expected that the ideal candidate is able to perform the assigned duties within the outlined working hours upon hire.
Team player- works efficiently between Family Success Team, clinicians, and Authorizations Manager.
