Mechanical Engineer - Junior Level

Duties & responsibilities

  • Perform 3D modelling and analysis of mechanical systems
  • Prepare design documents (plans and specifications) with an emphasis in utility service design
  • Engineer and design mechanical portions of waterfront facilities such as marinas, container terminals, marine oil terminals, and pump stations (sewer and storm water)
  • Conduct 3D model reviews, clash checks and interdisciplinary reviews of developed drawing packages
  • Participate in and conduct quality control reviews of deliverables

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering design related to bulk material handling
  • Experience in design of bulk material handing projects
  • Acknowledgement in developing equipment specification, calculation, data sheets, drawings reviews and other documents related to the mechanical design
  • Design experience in industrial complex and / or marine terminals is a plus
  • General understanding of process design, process flow diagram development, and piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) development
  • Experience in piping design and other mechanical equipment; 3D design development experience a plus (Plant 3D, Revit, Civil 3D, etc.)
  • Some planning and task management skills
  • AutoCAD experience

Base salary range


$46.47 to $56.80 per hour based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description.

Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the California market.

Physical demands


Ability to use standard office equipment. Sits for a prolonged period of time.
