As a mechanical engineer / designer on our team, you will be able to complete HVAC and plumbing project design tasks independently and build strong relationships with our client design teams. Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
4+ years professional experience
PE License (Preferred)
Revit proficiency (Preferred)
Experience in designing HVAC systems including air distribution, VRF, hydronic piping, building automation, and central plants.
Experience in designing building plumbing systems including waste and vent, hot and cold water, storm drain, natural gas, compressed air, and fire protection.
Proficiency performing HVAC load calculations using load calculation software (Carrier HAP, Trane Trace, etc.)
Familiar with current codes and standards involved in mechanical and plumbing system design (IMC, IPC, IBC, IFGC, IECC, ASHRAE Standards 90.1, 62.1, etc.)
Must be a creative problem-solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate well with architects, engineers, and contractors.
An understanding of building construction methods with an interest in building science.
