Mechanical Technical Support Co-Op (FAME)

Overview:
This is no small job – It’s a big opportunity

As a Co-op you’ll have the opportunity to help Philip Morris USA shape the future and deliver winning results in an exciting and dynamic time. During our paid Co-op program, you’ll experience on-the-job training, access to mentors, and educational opportunities.
You’ll be challenged and empowered to:

  • Learn all facets of our manufacturing processes and safety procedures.
  • Assist teams in identifying areas for improvement and developing/implementing solutions
  • Analyze and troubleshoot machinery problems in support of factory maintenance personnel
  • Participating in technical meetings to resolve problems or issues with machinery
  • Identifying and recommending spare parts lists for machinery, technical alternatives, and design improvements

To qualify for the Mechanical Technical Support Manufacturing Co-op program, student applicants must be:
  • 18 years or older
  • Enrolled in "The Richard Bland College FAME Program"
  • Pursuing Associate’s Degree in Automation and Manufacturing Technology, preferred
  • Strong communicators with creative thinking skills and initiative


This Co-op is a part-time position and will be located in Richmond, VA whle attending classes at Richard Bland Community College on alternate days.
