Summary: The Critical Buildings and Infrastructure unit is currently seeking motivated interns for the Summer of 2023. Our summer intern program is tailored to candidates who are currently enrolled full-time students at an accredited four-year college or university. The internship is intended to run from May to August, though start and end dates are flexible and accommodating to the candidate’s academic calendar. The goal of the Tetra Tech Intern Program is to provide a structured program that will equip interns with the skills and experience to help prepare for a successful career. The internship program will allow interns to apply knowledge learned in school to real-world engineering consulting projects and to gain insight into the operation of a multinational architecture and engineering consulting company.

'Your Role: Under direct supervision, performs engineering and/or scientific tasks of a routine nature. Works on a wide variety of technical projects from design through investigation.

  • Perform calculations on pertinent client projects for management review.
  • Assist in proposal efforts.
  • Attend project team meetings and report project status updates.
  • Work in a team environment with engineers, designers, and drafters on various projects
  • Assist with the preparation of project deliverables.
  • Be able to evaluate alternatives and resolve technical issues, while using innovative techniques.
  • Perform design work as needed, while coordinating with engineers, project manager, and/or CADD team members.
  • Work in a team environment with engineers, designers, and drafters on various projects.
  • Follow company procedures and philosophies regarding engineering design and construction supports.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school graduate.
  • Currently enrolled in college engineering courses (Electrical Engineering student or a Mechanical Engineering Student preferred).
  • US work authorization required.

Ability to pass background investigation and motor vehicle report with clear, without restrictions and favorable results.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Self-Driven and meticulous.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing specifications using SpecsIntact and MasterSpec.
  • REVIT/BIM experience.

Compensation:


  • Salary range: $20.00 - $25.00

All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.
