MedExpress, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking an Independent Nurse Practitioner or Independent Physician Assistant to join our team.

 Position Highlights: 
  • Open 8am- 8pm, 7 days per week 
  • Providers typically work 12 hour shifts  
  • Average patient load = 3-4 patients per hour  
  • Full licensed medical team and support staff  
  • Responsibilities include:  
    • Suturing  
    • Splinting  
    • Initial interpretation with digital X-Rays  
    • Incisions and drainage

Qualifications - External 
Required Qualifications:  
  • Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant program 
  • Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC/AANP or certified as a Physician Assistant through the NCCPA  
  • CPR certified or willing to obtain prior to start date 
  • DOT certification or ability to obtain within the first 60 days of employment 
  • Clinical experience working in at least one of the following: 
    • 2+ years in Family Medicine 
    • 1.5+ years in Urgent Care 
    • 1+ years in Emergency Medicine

  • Experience treating patients across multiple age groups 
  • Experience suturing, splinting, and reading x-rays within the last year 
  • Willing and able to assist at other center locations in the area
