Surgical First Assist - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Washington, D.C. Region - MedStar Health

We are looking for a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to function exclusively as a surgical first assist with our established Integrated Surgery department at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton, Maryland.The schedule for this role will be (4) 10-hour days or (5) 8-hr days depending on the hospital’s need. Enjoy working with our multi-specialty surgical teams, e.g., General Surgery, Colorectal, Orthopedics, etc. This position excludes weekend, after-hour or call responsibilities. Our ideal candidate will have at least one year of post-graduate experience in a first assist or surgical practice role.Located just 16 miles southeast of Washington, D.C., MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center is a 250-bed, full-service acute care and 24-bed, sub-acute care facility.
