Careers that Change Lives The Global Digital and Social Media team at Medtronic is hiring a Principal Influencer/Executive Specialist to lead our thought leadership agenda on social media. You will play a critical role in launching Medtronic into a new territory on social media. From influencer relationship management to content oversite, you will be responsible for the coordination and success of the company's thought leadership initiatives on social media. Working closely with the sr. social media manager, you will have the opportunity to build a new program strategy for influencer marketing, in addition to setting the strategy for executive activation on social media. As the Principal Influencer/Executive Specialist, you will centrality represent and help lead the vision of this space at Medtronic while partnering with our regional and functional teams to improve how we show up and deploy best-in-class methods. A Day in the Life Influencer Marketing: o Support development of enterprise strategy and framework for influencer marketing efforts at Medtronic o Lead ideation, identification and execution of influencer partnerships, including storytelling and editorial/social content creation for corporate marketing efforts o Support contract terms for influencer partnerships o Work with agency partners and cross-functional teams to define and establish influencer standards for execution o Manage the master content calendar for influencer partners, identifying best performing content themes and formats, along with opportunities for optimization o Outside of your core social media team, partner closely with integrated team, including corporate marketing, content & creative, communications and paid media o Present to leadership and functional teams on strategy, frameworks, best practices, processes, and key learnings o Stay up to date on healthcare trends and influencer marketing trends regarding new partners, tactics, tools, platforms, and competitor trends Executive Activation: o Manage a connected & coordinated social media editorial plan across leaders, in addition to social media strategy support and consultation o Work closely with the communications leads who are supporting and setting the strategy for their executive on social media o Responsible for identifying new opportunities, proactively, and bringing those ideas forward to executive teams o Take executive activation to the next level by continuing to develop best practices in the space while supporting the evaluation of current guidance to ensure direction is relevant Must Haves o Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of professional experience developing marketing strategies and managing campaign execution for influencer/marketing programs or advanced degree and 5 years of experience Nice to Have o Experience leading influencer partner relationships o In-depth knowledge and understanding of current and emerging social media platforms and the details that go into making compelling and engaging thought leadership content o Highly organized and focused. Skilled at crafting structures and operational processes to ensure consistent, repeatable outcomes. o Experience working with cross functional teams to get the job done o Experience with influencer and social management tools o Understands and has hands-on experience with tools in social analytics and listening o Entrepreneurial spirit.
