Megaport is growing! We are actively recruiting multiple Frontend Software Engineers to join Megaport’s Global Development team!

About the Role

We are looking for a Frontend Developer to join our Engineering team to enable us to build high-quality software more quickly and to improve our systems for both customers and internal users. Reporting to the Frontend Development Manager, this role will be a key contributor to our highest-value web property, the Megaport Portal, and other internal and customer-facing software. You will be a part of a highly skilled and driven technical team collaborating with various stakeholders to produce innovative solutions.

• This role will be a key contributor to a number of internal and customer-facing web projects including the Megaport Portal, working with the existing engineering team to build the best user experience and producing a high-quality codebase while meeting implementation goals.
• Help build and maintain our various applications and implement new functionality using a modern frontend stack including Vue 3, Typescript, Vite, Tailwind, Tanstack, NX Monorepo.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and make decisions based on your expertise and understanding of our tech stack.
• Understand business requirements and design technical solutions that are not only reactive and scalable but also addresses and improves on some of the challenges that exist in an older codebase.
• Collaborate with the Backend engineers on architectural decisions to build high-performing, intuitive, and functional solutions
• Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using tools such as Playwright and Vitest.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, designers and other engineers in a cross-functional team to deliver the best UX for our customers.
• Mentor, educate and support the team members in the Engineering team by sharing your knowledge and experience in design and building high-performing and scalable systems.

• Proven track record of building high-performance and high-quality software with experience in building applications with Vue, Nuxt or other frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Solid understanding of W3C standards and guidelines such as web accessibility, semantic web, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript Web APIs and internationalization.
• Demonstrable experience consuming and integrating web services.
• Experience developing responsive web applications that work across multiple devices.
• Have an agile mindset with the ability to work in a transparent and collaborative manner.
• When working with others, demonstrates reliability; functions as an active participant; cooperates and pitches in to help; exhibits flexibility; shows commitment to the team; works as a problem-solver; openly shares knowledge; treats others in a respectful and supportive manner.
