The Role

Reporting into the EVP for GTM Transformation, this role will execute our new inbound and outbound sales strategy that supports the hyper-growth & scale of the NAM Sales team at Megaport. You will have the chance to implement creative processes along the way & shape the world class processes we are implementing. Your priority is to respond to our prospects, qualify if Megaport is a suitable solution and generate new opportunities from inbound marketing qualified leads and high propensity to buy account lists.


You will work alongside a hardworking team who have a relentless drive and energy to achieve a common goal, revenue growth! You will support the North American Sales organization and partner with the team closely to execute a winning growth strategy. You will also collaborate with our marketing team to carry out targeted messaging campaigns that align with Megaport overall goals. 



What you’ll be doing
  • This is an individual contributor role.
  • Follow up, manage, and drive qualified inbound marketing leads to sales accepted opportunities with the mission to effectively grow the sales pipeline to achieve our joint regional  revenue goals. 
  • Utilize and leverage our various sales and lead generation tools to identify, develop and manage marketing leads effectively. 
  • Be able to communicate Megaport’s value prop to C-level executives and decision makers.
  • Identify and source sales opportunities that align with the ideal customer profile for Megaport for the purposes of maximizing solution value and product adoption. 
  • Manage & interact with prospects via our website live chat tool.
  • Generate new opportunities and book demos for the Americas Sales Executives & Customer Success Managers. 
  • Invite and drive attendance to company events and regional trade shows.
  • Acquire, update and maintain contact information within the Salesforce CRM, providing the account team with information to ensure opportunities are understood and next steps are clearly identified.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects.
  • Weekly review of leads developed, new leads added and any field sales intelligence; keep records and generate reports on all phases of activities.
  • Keep informed on new products, services, and other general information of interest to customers, through successful completion of sales training and self-study.


What we are looking for
  • A basic understanding of SaaS and/or networking, cloud offerings.
  • Has experience in a fast paced or start up environment.
  • 1+ years of B2B sales development (SDR / ADR / BDR) experience.
  • Action oriented and highly organized individual who is resourceful, adaptable and can work with ambiguity as we continue to rebuild and optimize our new processes. 
  • Strong work ethic that uses creativity and originality for ultimate success.
  • A goal-oriented and customer-focused mindset.
  • Must be comfortable working in a high growth environment, where everyone must have the “roll up your sleeves” and “get it done” attitude.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to solve problems and work with limited direction.
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communications skills.
  • A growth mindset, consistently working to improve your skills and adapt in a constantly changing environment.


$70,000 - $90,000 a year
