The purpose and scope of this position within the organization is to coordinate the planning, implementation, and evaluation of gang-related projects, programs, or specific gang activity within the district. The position is responsible for researching and ensuring district compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines; gathering and reporting on data associated with gang activity; providing information or training to students, staff, parents or the public and performing related professional and administrative tasks. Projects are time-specific and have predefined goals and objectives.

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or other relevant field plus an additional 2 years related experience, or equivalent, for a total education/experience of 6 years. Experience working with youth and gang violence. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED).
Degree Equivalency Formula:
Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master’s Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
